I've got tbb meter installed on my main pc but that's only good to tell me how much bandwidth my main pc is using.
Is there any software that can measure all internet traffic that goes through the router? So all of the internet usage my main pc is using, a laptop that is wireless, a ps3, mobile phones. To get a true measure of my internet usage?
Thanks

Some routers retain the stats in the user interface, common with modern Netgears.
Otherwise look to see if SNMP is supported by the router and a package that can access the stats this provides.

http://192.168.0.1/traffic_meter.htm - works on a DGN2200
Or look for Traffic Meter in your router interface menu (on the left as part of Advanced)
This remembers Today, Yesterday, Week, Month and Last Month Usage.
Can even set an alarm to flash an LED on router

Just had a look. That's not on the DGN1000.

Alas most of the SNMP options I can find cost money, and RouterStats is just for noise margin monitoring, though a long time since I've looked at it.

You are limited in the number of sensors with the free version, but it should be sufficient for the OP

Tried that but couldn't get it to work.

My provider allows me to view detailed download/upload figures (daily & monthly) via a web interface on their website - is that something your ISP offers?

I'm on Virgin National so no it's not something they offer.

I haven't heard of "Virgin National" - presumably it's an 'unlimited' package if they don't provide a way for you to monitor/check your usage?
If it's not unlimited I would be asking them where/how you can monitor your usage!

I think Virgin National is the ADSLx service, rather than their cable network.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

I'm guessing their packages most likely have a usage limit - so if they don't provide a way for customers to monitor things it all sounds a bit iffy!

Virgin National is the ADSL part of Virgin Media, i.e. non cable.
It's unlimited but has a FUP. I want to find out how much i'm using in case i move to an ISP that has a usage cap i know how much i would need.

Ok - shame Virgin don't provide your usage stats.
As others have mentioned your router interface can often be used to see how much you're using. I use a Speedtouch which shows how much data has been transferred (sent and received) and this tallies up with my ISP's stats.
EDIT: Just re-read things.
I guess if your router doesn't provide these stats or telnet you may have to buy/borrow another router to monitor your usage...
