New connection and new router, Low sync speed

Hello,
I have an issue with low sync speeds, I used to be with BT Total Broadband and had the BT Home Hub v1.5 which synced at around 3.5Mbps.
I have recently switched to BT Business Broadband, and after many calls it was finally set up. I decided while I was at it I would get a new router because I was having range issues around my house with the HomeHub. I now have a Belkin F6D4630-4 v2.
I'm currently syncing at 2528Kbps which gives me a BRAS profile of only 2000, this is obviously much lower than I used to get and I'm not really sure why.
I'm still within the 10 day setup thing and haven't turned my router off at all.

Data rate(Kbps) 2528Kb - 448Kb
Noise Margin 16 - 20
Output power(dBm) 123 - 181
Attenuation(dB) 56 - 31

These are the full stats for my router at the moment. What do you think the problem could be? I've contacted BT and they have told me I have to wait 10 days before they will try and help me.

At a guess the target margin looks set to 15dB, which which if previously 6dB would explain the difference in connection speed

Will this reset back to 6 on it's own or will I have to endure the Indian call centre again?

Turn the router off during daylight tomorrow, wait 2-3 minutes, then turn it on again. See if the stats improve.

Indian Call Centre - if you are speaking to them then either you do not has BT Business Broadband or you are calling the wrong number and they should tell you they cannot see your details and refer you to the correct team.

There are not many Indians in the far north of Scotland ...

Really? They have english people working in Business? I've just been calling the number I got on my welcome lettter which has always been an Indian! Maybe I should find specific numbers for departments instead then.

No quite English, but Scottish - based right up in Thurso and occasionally in Glasgow.

What number are you calling?

0800 443311 is the number I last called I think, but checking BT's Contact Us for Business is showing a different number. Will use that one in future.

Just turned it off for 5 mins then turned it back on, same stats as before =/

Ah well, it was worth a try because of "...and haven't turned my router off at all." Once it gets artificially low the connection speed rarely changes upwards unless you do so. Complicated explanation though .
