master socket question

Should the master socket faceplate that comes off have wires wired in to the back of it?

Currently having severe connection issues.

Mine has a white and blue wire into port 5 and a blue and white into port 2.

Is this an internal extension? The master faceplate works through the connector that slots into the socket hidden behind it, right?

Sounds like it and yes.

You should connect to the TEST socket situated at the back to see if the disconnections continue or stop, make sure any filters used are OK and if possible try another router.
