Orange Livebox

Hi all looking for a bit of advice I recently got my broadband upgraded a bit from G.DMT to ADSL2 I'm just wondering if the first orange livebox will support this or will I need a new router.

You mean ADSL2+ and, yes, the Livebox has always supported that.

Hello and thank you for your reply, in my router stats it says:
Connection mode : ADSL2
Type : Fast

I have a netgear DGN2200 but I felt it was overheating badly where as the Livebox never seems to.

What are your router stats? You'd probably be better off being on ADSL2+ unless you have a very long line.

Does your router have a setting for ADSL Mode, having a choice probably of: Auto/ G.DMT/ ADSL2 or G.992.3/ ADSL2+ or G.992.5?

Yeah mate I can select ADSL2+ on router if that's best?

It's running a bit slow. I don't think you'd gain from ADSL2+ but you could try it.

I have a netgear DGN2200 would this be better to use than the Livebox?
