CRC/ES errors?

Somewhat related to my other issues - Can someone tell me how much of a problem these errors might be and if they are a lot?

At the last spike the router gave up and re-synced lower.

Are you seeing any Packet loss , erratic throughput,or very slow throughput, ? downstream more so , could be outside interference, line fault or a problem with the isp's kit at the exchange

You seem to be getting approximately 1500 CRC or superframe errors in a 15 minute period. Say 100 per minute. There are approximately 58 superframes a second or 3480 a minute. So approximately 3% of your downloaded data is corrupt and will be discarded. No problem for the sort of data which can be retransmitted. Probably not so good for viewing a video stream.

Sounds a high number of errors to me.

Might explain the odd lag issues I was having playing Battlefield 3 earlier online!

I must point out that 3% is very much worse case. Perhaps only one of the 10 or so TCP packets within the superframe was corrupted.

You'd probably need to use a tool such as wireshark to examine TCP and UDP packets to get a more accurate picture to gauge if retransmissions were required.
