Seems the entire /24 for PirateBay (194.71.107.0/24) has vanished from the internet. Doesn't look like a block to me, looks like someone has pulled the plug completely.

It's also not available from the US (just got someone I know to test). So this looks global. Probably an outage, or they have had their link pulled. It looks pretty major, what ever it is, as the traceroute dies on the first hop for me, and 3-4 hops on my VPS, which normally indicates their BGP advertisement has died a horrid death.

I am on BE tried to access it this morning and couldn't (although no warning message, the site just failed to load) so I VPN tunnelled to Poland and accessed it no problem.

I then realised the router had been reset the other day to use BE DNS servers, changed to opendns and could access the PB no problem (without VPN)

So it may have been down & came back up while I was trying to get around it or it may be blocked on BE/O2 dns - anyone using BE DNS still having trouble accessing it?

It is not currently blocked (by O2/Be anyway)

Apparently suffering a DDOS attack at the moment making it unreachable from some parts of the network, which is why some proxies are also not working.

news here

Think it's a definite block now. DNS changing may work for some, depends on how their ISP is blocking the piratebay for them.

But if I use proxy websites such as http://tpb.fl.ax/ the website loads instantly...

If it was a block they would be displaying a message stating it was blocked (like Virgin Media) as I and others have said it is a DDoS attack. I cannot access the site through VPN now.
