Broadband speed halfing after master socket problem.

[link to this post]

Recently i was decorating ,and had to unscrew the master socket to lift it away from the wall. After putting it all back together my broadband speed dropped from 4 to 0.4! meg

I assumed i had dislodged a wire,so opened it up again to check, but nothing was loose.I then over a week or so,re-inserted each wire on several occasions, just incase i had a bad connection.

I have noticed over the last day or so,the speed has increased to about 2 meg,but this is still half of what i had.

Do i just need to wait longer for it to adjust itself??

That tells us you are connecting at 4.1 Meg, and should see 3.5 Meg roughly on downloads. Are you now? If not visit www.speedtester.bt.com and tell us what the IP profile is set to
