A few have asked you for the ISP. It can do you no harm to say who it is.

Without that, no-one can help any further. It could be an ISP known to be hopeless, it could be one where someone can kick butt. But until you say, that's the end of it.

There are some ISPs that are very good at getting this sort of thing sorted.

3808kbps rings a bell with me - I might try and find out what it reminds me of later. Some sort of cap.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - Plusnet Value Fibre FTTC 80/20 trial.

smile not a problem my ISP is the post office.

when i have spoken to the they have done all the checks and say my line is fine they did say there was 5 error on the upstream, which they said was nothing to worry about and 0 on downstream

they say the can not raise a fault when the checks come back clear and i am on/above fault threshold of 2.5mb , many thanks for everyone time and effort

The issue that is making your line under perform in the first place has probably just got worse over time.

A better ISP might arrange a SFI visit under the proviso that if the issue is found to be in your realm of responsibility you would get charged for it.
