Broadband in rural France

Guys, can I ask for some advise please,

The Mother and Father in law have a place in France, Cussy en morvan, in the middle of nowhere.
They're looking to be able to access the internet when they visit, which is 3-5 times a year. They have no fixed line installed and looking at Orange France's coverage map, it seems there's only 2G coverage in their area, some goes for SFR.

What's the deal with broadband over there, do the French use ADSL that requires a continual line rental as we have?
Ideally they could do with some sort of PAYG provider.
Looking for ideas really, I don't know what to suggest to them.

Rural France has ADSL and ADSL2+, as to what the contract terms are, then most likely if a new telephone line to carry the ADSL is required then an ongoing contract will be required.

Borrow wifi from a neighbour?
Get a 3G mobile router with better antenna and try to get 3G signal that way?

Looks like no other mobile company is there, guessing this map is like ours here that has many masts in a town, we do anyway.

Was going to see if another supplier but orange was there, looks like a place that must be useless for 3g, like you say even 2g must be a bit dodgy as no mast in the place but a distance away.

I live not 300m from my 3 network mast the phone uses.
Looks like the place is not good.

No ideas.
