The sad thing is after spending x£ amounts on a tablet/laptop/netbook they seem to be redundant after 6 months when a new model comes forth!

Depends what you buy. I got the iPhone 4 in September 2010. Last month I had the chance to upgrade - looked around and saw the Galaxy s3 etc. Opted for the 4s.

Definitely did not find anything that I personally would have rather had in those 2 years and even now I'm glad I have the 4s for another 2 years.

There's a product out there for everyone. Just try to ignore post buyer regret and eventually you grow to love things!

Don't want you to be accused of spamming but if I may ask what type of "new" mobile are you using?
I'm thinking of getting a tablet but don't know what is best for under 180 quid as the Apple products are well overpriced yet people are still willing to pay that sort of price despite moaning about recessions etc etc. agghh!!!

Bob

I get you. Although interest rates have never been lower, mortage never been cheaper. Plenty of people still have jobs etc. It's not all doom and gloom as the media makes it seem.

Apple iPad products are not cheap although to call them 'overpriced' I'm not too sure. Sure you can find a similar tablet for £100 cheaper but I'm sure it has more little niggles etc. Sometimes it's best to save up and get something more expensive that has longivity than a cheapo product that'll need replacing in 6 months.

I'm still waiting for a non-iPad, but it is clearly by far the best tablet around. Surely, surely surely there will be a viable alternative soon frown.

This Samsung (and in effect all Android devices) case in the US is going to be critical. Note that although Google isn't part of the legal action, it is Google's lawyers that are acting for Samsung in this one and HTC in others.

That's nice for you wink
You have fibre available AND a decent 3G network!

Lots of us stuck on 20CN also have flaky mobile coverage... frown
