Problems with Yahoo Mail?

Anyone else having problems with Yahoo webmail? It has been down for the last 40 minutes for me.

If you're referring to BT mail it often goes through these phases of being up and down. BT servers - mail, DNS, etc, have always been appalling for me.

Yes is the answer. having some difficulties here as well. Seems to working intermittantly

It is the server http://uk.mg41.mail.yahoo.com/ that is causing me problems, behaving very erratically. It can be accessed intermittently on my iMacs but not at all on my iPhone/iPad.

Was working fine on all devices until around 09:30 this morning.

I share Batboy's experiences with BT mail. Every few months it refuses to work and emails must be retrieved via webmail while BB works fine. The tantrum lasts for an hour or sometimes a day. I was worried at first but now I accept it as the only downside of an otherwise good service.

Actually I still use BT mail and it works ok for me. Yahoo mail has been flaky for several days now but today it is dire.

Fortunately neither of these are my primary email service.

I find the BT servers too unreliable for email of any priority, so I use the BT email addresses just for non-priority communications. Even so, I still find myself re-entering the passwords into Outlook every now and again - like this morning for instance.

The BT DNS servers have their moments too - and from that NSLOOKUP I see they're shared with the mail servers, which to me is bad practice.

Sorry for confusion: I refer to BT mail as the BT Yahoo service which came with my package and which I use with Thunderbird. This is the one which acts up on occasion for no discernible reason.

I also have a (separate) yahoo.co.uk account which has proved totally reliable.

Second time this year that it's changed I think..... I quite like the new one personally!

Not noticed any problems on BTYahoo mail via Outlook.
