How long for profile to change?

Hi all,

I disconnected the ring wire today from my master socket if you haven't already done so DO IT!)
My sync speed increased immediatly from a steady5088 to a new 7168. Staggering.

How long before the exchange recognises this and tries to increase my download speed please.
Just to say I am on adsl max 8mb. I live 2.8 km away from exchange

Could be 24 hours ... just leave it alone and do nothing until tomorrow afternoon. If it has not changed you profile then disconnect and power off the modem/hub. Leave disconnected for a few minutes, reboot the modem and when fully up and running reconnect.

Or perform the check tomorrow afternoon, as MHC has suggested and if there has been no change, power off the modem/router, disconnect it from the line & leave it like that until Friday morning. smile

Your TBB profile says you are on ADSL Max - so this can be 'up to' 5 days but is often quicker.

Those on a 21CN Exchange see quicker updates - not good/fair for those of us stuck on 20CN frown
