LLU on my invoices...

...but I'm not sure I'm on LLU.

Router will NOT connect via ADSL2 or ADSL2+ but will on Auto or (as it is right now) G.DMT.

Now am I right in thinking, I am 100% not on LLU?

I had a big 3 day outage some time ago and the supplier had "cancelled" the Broadband with no reason why. 3 days later it reappeared and now, when doing speedtests it's all OK up at as quick as I've had it, but showing "Daisy Communications".

Review sites slate them - which doesn't fill me with confidence.

I am with Vivaciti and on going onto Steam for a bit of shooty shooty the ping was ridiculous. This has led me to unearth all this.

Any help or similar issues?

Sounds like LLU as daisy do use it, think daisy used to be murphx

LLU is usually better than BT wholesale, but of course depends on provider and level of service retailer is buying

I read they were Obit , or took over from them.

Big issue is the ping and this G.DMT thing.

What is the attenuation of the line and router stats? G.DMT means an ADSL type, and some DSLAM setups can be odd.

If ping is bad at the obvious times of day for the internet to be busy e.g. evenings then points to a capacity problem with your retailer or the wholesaler

I have just switched it to PPPoE and the ping has dropped. Now 70ms.

Looks ADSL2+ like speeds

The change may not be down to the pppoe because sometimes just logging out and back in can put you on a different pipe which is performing better.

Had been logging in and out continually all evening trying different settings.

The suppliers has confirmed it's ADSL2+, but the router refuses to connect as ADSL2+. Only allows G.DMT.

I'm going to ask them why though - see what comes back (Unless they see it here first lol)
