Hi, My line stats? how is my sync speed?

Hi,

Here are my line stats, I sync at about 17.5MB

Sometimes, I sync at 19.5 - it seem to happen for ages at a time, I will sync at 17.5 for a few months, then 19.5 randomly for a few months, what should I expect with these line stats? - thanks.

I was wondering, because sky keep messing my sync speed around (I have called up and sorted it several times, in the end I always have to call back after a while) I decided to try something different, as options are extremely limited, in my area, it's talk talk vs sky.

I am getting the all in one package, TV, phone line and unlimited broadband, do you think, with regards to the broadband, am I downgrading? or can I expect the same sort of performance, I am aware neither is very good by today's standards, talk talk works out cheaper for sure, however i really do not fancy taking a HIT on broadband as I use it, ALLOT.

Just wondered if you could offer some thoughts on this decision as you most likely have a good idea on this already.

Sky and TalkTalk are both fairly reasonable options if things are working fine.

If apart from the varying sync speed the throughput is good then I'd stay where I was. Which I assume is Sky currently.

The Sky DLM system which may be capping your speed now and then can be mainly disabled, if you next time you call to fix it tell them you are a gamer and want their gaming profile.

A way to save ~£5 a month with Sky is pay for 12 months voice line rental in advance.

uploads a bit low i would expect 1100ish

the download is alright but i think it could do a bit better 19500 is more like it

though it could be the time of the year/weather that makes the line change speed line mine also.
