Yes, read about it this morning... http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/5734-bskyb-now-la...

Biggest UK ISPs by subscribers
1.BT retail 6,569,000
2.Virgin Media 4,465,000
3.Sky Broadband 4,235,000
4.TalkTalk 4,053,000
5.EE 693,000
6.O2 560,100
Source: ISP Review

So in the big league after the merger EE will have the lowest number of home broadband customers.

Pretty picture version http://www.thinkbroadband.com/images/factsheet/q4-20...

New version due next week of course, but after today needs a few tweaks of course.

Nice one! EE/Orange/T-Mobile are clawing back customers then. BT lost me as a landline home phone customer, I wonder are BT loosing customers to Orange because they seem to be getting the wind up with their adverts referring to Orange? wink

Where's PN come in that list? They run on a similar platform to EE. Do they count as BT?

Those BT adverts referring to Orange "Under pressure to take Orange landline?" are aimed at Orange BB users like me who have a BT landline. Do you see them?

Got an unanswered call from Orange (note: not EE) while I was out. Suspect it is trying to sell me their phone, like they tried a few months ago, as I have no outstanding issues with them. Problem for them is that can't handle both of my lines and ridiculously suggest I pay for 2 Call Plans, 1 with Orange and 1 with BT.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC

Given that Sky paid roughtly £350 per customer that makes EE customer base worth roughly £250 million.

I wonder if any other ISP is looking to bolster their customer numbers?

Oh great! So now we will just be left with BT, Sky, TalkTalk and more Sky. frown
Sky bought out UKonline/Easynet, so don't they have enough?

This should be rejected by the competition commission and where is useless ofcom in this?

If Sky are going to be allowed to buy BE/02, then they should not be allowed to sell broadband, if you must take sky line rental or sky TV. Second they must forced to continue to sell wholesale, to smaller providers. They currently don't do that with easynet.
