Quick question about BT roadworks abbreviations...

I didn't really know where else to put this, but it's a pretty simple question for the BT guys on here:

Near me are a couple of BT roadworks flagged for next week on roadworks.org. I'm familiar with a lot of abbreviations used now, but these two, close together, start with

m/dig dbm in f/way...

So I know f/way is footway, i.e. path, and last time I checked I think I know the meaning of the word "dig"... but what specifically is m/dig? Maintenance dig? Manual dig? I've also got no idea about dbm, unless it really is referring to checking the signal strength down there. They aren't usually that specific in their descriptions, are they?
