I see that early this afternoon, there was a large red spike and a smaller one on my BQM - only ever seen small very occasional dots for dropped packets, and a thinner version of this before for a brief disconnect - and as my connection seemingly hasn't disconnected today, wonder what would cause that?
Thought I'd ask while it's still visible.

My brain is a bit fogged at the moment Trisha. Are you with Zen as per your Profile, or Plusnet now?
I have the identical picture. If you get two tabs with yours and mine up, and switch between them, it feels wierd.

Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 54.2/15.2Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Probably a daft question, and you may have explained this before (same fog I guess) ...but why are all your 'spiky bits' smoother than mine? Shorter line, difference between adsl/fibre?

Does that make a double cross ?

I'm probably doing far less than you, for starters. Mainly just this site or orther browsing and small emails. Under 10GB per month in total.
Or of course, maybe just a better ISP . What does yours do if you go idle for 10 minutes?
Or your hair gel is better quality than mine.
I don't think line length is anything at all to do with it.

Peculiar mains supply they've got- it didn't affect my IPv6 BQM

I rarely use more than half my 20GB each month, but working at home, I tend to do all our shopping online and view a lot of work related image rich sites.
Mine was pretty much idle from 12pm to 1pm or so.
No hair gel ...oh! perhaps it's my static! ..actually reasonably uner control now.
Yes, your ISP may be better
Is this the right link ..just did a TBB speedtest, think it looks pretty good:

I'll think of an answer to that. At this stage I'm not sure how many dimensions will be involved.

Wireless, but a big time gap. Also we are into the recurrent "summat's oop" time that they can't get a grip of. 'Twas 83.724% a joke.

I'm probably doing far less than you, for starters. Different make of router most likely.
I lost a lot of random "spikes" when I got rid of my BE TG585v7 and moved to BT Infinity - although I'm still using my Draytek 2820 as the actual router.
James BT Infinity 2 19/09/2012 - Speeds ~46 / ~8.5 Mbps - Sync 48.9 / 10 Mbps @ 470m
Huawei modem -> Draytek 2820 -> Airport Extreme -> Switch -> Windows/Mac/Linux/NAS/Phone/TV

But I rarely have starters. Main course followed by cheese is the norm.
