Torn between posting here and in the Be* forum. However, figured that although my circumstances are specific to Be*, advice posted here is good for anyone hence here it is
I'm currently with Be* for broadband and landline. Having re-signed a 12 month deal back in October '12, I'm still in contract for the broadband. As I use a VoIP phone or my mobile, I don't use the PSTN landline for any outgoing calls.
Given this I'd gone with Be* landline as they were fairly cheap & I deduced that if any faults arose it'd be easy to get Be* to fix them, versus battling between them and a.n.other landline provider.
Now that Be* has been sold to Sky, I'm keen for my line not to be migrated to their network before I've had a chance to assess the situation; SMPF is fine, but full-LLU I'm not so fond of. Also, if the merger makes the broadband worse, I might well be up & off at that point.
So knowing this, what landline providers are there that I could move to? Requirements are:
- Maximum of a 3-4 month minimum term (might later move to, say, Plusnet or BT and pay them line rental too)
- No need for inclusive calls - I never make any calls on the PSTN
- WLR3 so that my Be* connection keeps working
I've already found ADSL24 are doing line rental for £12.90/month - if I find nothing cheaper I'll be dropping them an email to get the ball rolling
So, any advice?
Cheers,
Blueacid
