I've registered and paid for a day pass to watch the US Masters via my Xbox 360.
It looks as though it has selected standard def but was just wondering if anyone knew how many Megs/Gigs it uses per hour as although I'm on an unlimited package I don't want to pee off the good people at Xilo for using too much bandwidth.

4Mbps in HD.
Surely golf isn't that fast? Aussie 'no rules football' for sure, but golf?

Actually Golf is an interesting encoding exercise, green putts don't need a lot potentially, but drives with the big pans will need a good codec to keep a good picture

It wouldn't be so bad except it rarely lands where I expect either

Not unless you have digitally aided spectacles. Though even analogue spectacles can cause this problem as they are typically narrowband.

Thinking more about that, if one uses reading spectacles to address an envelope, are such appropriate for addressing a golf ball?

Actually the chap I go to for lessons now and again says that a good golfer should be able to hit the ball with their eyes closed. Shows you've got your posture and swing mechanics right. Mind you he also says that a good golfer doesn't need to watch the ball flight to know where to find it.
Makes you wonder why more blind people don't play golf

If you are on the green and lose sight of your ball after hitting it that is either a very good thing or a very bad thing.
O2 Standard (8Mbps LLU)
