Cease adsl----get adsl, what happens?

On the same line, either with same phone number or new number.

Person ceases adsl and later a person gets adsl.

What possible hiccups might there be with what should happen -or doesn't- at the exchange in this scenario?

Would any hardware be removed or perhaps bypassed until any new adsl was ordered?

Is there a time gap needed when someone ceases their ADSL before an order can be placed for new ADSL, and is it related to the old/new ISP and type - LLU or non-LLU?

The cost of the cease and the cost of the provide for one thing.

In theory one persons service can finish on the same day as a new persons is provided in a property, but mistakes are fairly common

I'm sure there's an analogy with criminal records and arm length wrt posting space and possible mistakes as you point out so I'm not asking for elaboration there.

Could go either way. If a cease and reprovide happen close together then no physical rewiring is necessary, if the same CP is providing the broadband. If there's a longer gap then the line card might be redeployed with consequent rewiring.

Also if MPF LLU is involved there could be exchange changes due to the cease.
