Snowden claims Tempora (GCHQ system) bigger than PRISM

Guardian article. (Scroll down through the huge logo in the article).
The documents reveal that by last year GCHQ was handling 600m "telephone events" each day, had tapped more than 200 fibre-optic cables and was able to process data from at least 46 of them at a time.

It appears, this morning, as if Snowden is to be charged with espionage and theft of US government property. Theft maybe, but I thought spying was his old job with the CIA!

I guess espionage is a two-way business, but most governments only really like one direction.

There must be some interesting kit involved in doing this though...
