What you think of stat

Can someone throw any light on my issue, ive took up Tesco bb adsl2+ & phone llu last weeks and since day dot i'm having low speed sync issue,been told by first line tech to give it 10 days to settle but (correct me if am wrong) but it dont require settling period does it was quotes 6-11mb and moment only getting 4mb never gone over 6mb on and speedtest when i ever switch router off back on it starts from 9db snm is there anyway i can get them to lower this to 6 db so i get faster speed, what you reckon to these stats. First stats are from non llu from o2 and then from tesco bb llu

That's not NON-LLU O2! It would have been G.DMT if it were.

Hi, not sure to be honest had broadband from one company and phone from another previously.

You have to try asking on the noise margin and the rest might just be variations in how kit is configured

Ah, you are confusing Full LLU, landline + BB from same supplier, and Partial LLU, landline from BTw + BB from LLU ISP which O2 is at your exchange.

You should be getting about 9 Meg Sync from your Tesco connection. You are well under that with the 9dB NM and even if that were reduced to 6dB it seems unlikely you would increase sync by 50%. You were similarly underperforming on your O2 connection, which points to an internal wiring issue.

Are you taking stats from the hidden test socket behind faceplate?

Hi again my exchange is Burton on Trent,I think your right about tesco bb who use cable wireless llu and o2 was probably not full. About sync speed I haven't got that plate type socket just old bt logo type socket and the router is directly connected via filter to main socket....been told to try at get snm down might make difference to speed....don't understand why its different, no dropout at all no noise either on line that I can hear,tried quiet line test but unable to connect as its not bt line anymore if I ask and if/can they lower margin is it anything they can do......dreading to ring tesco could there be a problem with external wiring.

I think I'm going to change router, not sure but been told swapping router may help,what would be a decent budget router only need connection through Ethernet.
