home hub3 connect to TV

Can I connect my BT home hub 3 to my smart TV Ethernet socket?.
If it is OK I need a 35 meter Ethernet cable.
Where can I purchase this cable?.

Yes you can.

A 35m cable - rather long but you can get them, or get two shorter ones and join them.

However, I would suggest putting an rJ45 socket close to the TV and another close to the hub and then wire between them with infrastructure cable. That will be a lot safer and if you can run r=through walls to shorten it, a 6mm hole is enough. Then a short patch cable at each end.

Ethernet is happy at up to 100m so 35m should no issue.

Is a 35m cable, no idea on the sellers reputation. But likely that others will suggest a kit with sockets, i.e. like http://www.screwfix.com/p/network-cabling-kit/10346 a little more work to install, but a neater solution long term especially as with no connectors on the cable you can get it through smaller holes in walls/floorboards.

And you only need to run the one cable to where the TV is and use an ethernet switch to connect not only your TV but PVR, Blu-ray player, Xbox etc.
