Exchange outages

What is the current experience, in terms of outage time for:

* Exchange Fire
* Exchange Power Outage
* Main Fibre fault into exchange - (to the internet / ISP)
* Replacement time for a FTTC cabinet
* Someone digging up the road cutting the FTTC cable to the cabinet
* Someone digging up the telephone line / cutting the telephone cable

Looking for real life examples and time to fix the problem

The BT time to repair is in most cases very short. However, you cannot speed up the Local Authorities.

We had our lines ripped out when a driver hit the main pole - BT wanted to replace it within 2 or 3 days. The LA tried to force a 13 week lead time.


Similarly when a pile was being driven (without any real care) and 20,000 lines lost BT had some back within hours, others took a couple of weeks.
