Poor Speed from what looks like an aged Cabinet

If you read the post I have linked the issue has already been talked all through on the not-spots section. I am wondering if people think it is the age of the cabinet that is causing the very slow speeds we are getting. The most ridiculous thing is that this slow speed is ONLY our house, EVERY other house within a mile are connected to different cabinets and getting average standard speeds, all have at least a MINIMUM of 6mpb/s we are literally the only ones connected to this cabinet!

These are my routers adsl stats:
Broadband Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2059 kbps 605 kbps
Line Attenuation 67.5 dB 40.4 dB
Noise Margin 6.3 dB 11.11 dB

Line Attenuation 67.5 dB 40.4 dB

Using MrSaffron's calculator the sync rate is quite good for that downstream attenuation as it indicates your connection to the exchange is long.

What sort of throughput are you getting?

In short, no. That is in fact quite a recent shell on your cabinet. This is neither here nor there, as it has no bearing on it's contents.

If literally everyone around you, including immediate neighbours, is getting much higher sync rates, then there is either a fault on you line, or something horribly wrong with the set up and internal wiring in your property. Have you tried asking your ISP about your speeds ?

A cabinet serving only one person within a mile of it?

Edit - see my post in your other thread . What are the speeds like in the other flats on your site? Probably best to reply over there rather than here.
