Best Speeds in Central London

I currently reside outside of Central London and enjoy 120MB from Virgin Broadband but we're going to be moving into the heart of Central London and so far the best speeds I can find are a miserable 16MB. Are there any options out there that can offer truly fast speeds within the city or is it as bad as I fear?

Depends a lot on what you mean by City too, i.e. financial around Liverpool street and Canary Wharf or Soho/Strand areas?

Yes, by City I mean the Aldgate area so pretty close to Liverpool Street. From what I've seen speeds are very slow from most of the providers

Looks like just ADSL2+ in the area.

The low density of homes to bigger business buildings probably has meant that faster FTTC is not a priority
