MikroTik 751G-2HnD + Huawei 612 + Sky ADSL2+ PPPoA

Hello,

I'm looking to use my old MikroTik and Huawei modem due to the terrible wireless coverage from my Sky Hub (SR101).

The line is syncing on the Huawei modem, however I've tried various combinations of settings on the modem and the MikroTik but can't get any IP details assigned. At first I thought my line was using MER rather than PPPoA, however the Sky Hub is currently saying PPPoA. Is the Huawei modem able to handle this?

I've extracted my @skydsl login info via packet capture on the Skyhub, and have converted that to Hex and added it to the dhcp-client-id on the MikroTik.

Any ideas?

The HG612 does support ADSL but it normally defaults to a VDSL2 modem.

I have not been able to make this work, but others have suggested it can take around 2hrs for a new modem to sync/logon on the sky network

Yeah I've forced it to ADSL2 and it is syncing at the expected rate, it's the auth settings that I think need tweaking

You could always use the O2 migration credentials instead
