I was surprised to see a large red spike on the BQM that happened at around 2.45 this afternoon, yet my broadband remained connected!
How did it not disconnect?

Hi
Same here

Perhaps this was a problem with Thinkbroadbands network, so it affected every chart?

Something happened - see these graphs, but strangely it didn't affect me, (see the BQM in my sig, which does have a smaller one 15 minutes later), and doesn't appear in the number of users online in the lowest graph.
Edit - there appear to be three others here, plus two or three with a smaller one at the same time as mine.

I got one this morning: half a red spike at or just after 11am.

Nothing here, but ...derrrrratttt!
There was a reconnection at 00:30 that lowered my latency fractionally, but lowered my sync speeds a bit at the same time. I did a re-sync just before 5pm which basically left it at the new figure but lowered the latency a bit more.
Sig adjusted for the new speeds.

I hate when it disconnects and I end up with a poorer sync.
I had one early last month that caused the up speed to reduce by around 1/3. Had a few more, some done by myself, others just happened, but it stayed the same.
Last week I got fed up of some sites & email loading slowly and pulled the plug for 5 minutes. Re-connected at my old decent speed and it seems more or less OK again.
