Hi all . . . I hope I've posted in correct place.
For many years had O2 BB on BT landline. Never any probs. For last couple of years have been viewing 6 Swann cctv cams on another property 14 miles away. (M in laws house. she 76, infirm and got neighbors from hell), using Swannview Link.
Sky took over O2 BB a month ago and I transferred line rental payment from BT to them too to save money.
When trying to view the cctv cams I now get a pop up "For the limitation of bandwidth or other errors, IE can't start to preview all the channels" and just one camera image is then displayed. Sky say it's nothing to do with them but I claim it must be cos it was OK till they took over. I have been a Sky customer (land line rental) for 5 days only and contracted for 12 mth (they remind me). I like to give everybody the benefit of the doubt but am feeling betrayed now.
Can anybody shed any light on my problem please ? Is it a phone line/ISP problem ? I've changed microfilters, removed phone ext lead etc all to no avail. TIA Carl

Are you able to get the connection speeds, attenuations and noise margins, down and up, from your router? If you can, please post them .
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 58.7/14.6Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Well there's no shortage of bandwidth there. That's a good connection speed and margin for that attenuation. Which I assume hasn't changed. So the problem does appear to be within the Sky network somewhere.
Unless coincidentally something has happened to the connection at the other end. Which ISP is that with?

Errrrrrr . . sorry RobertoS I don't understand. If ISP is Internet Service Provider it's Sky.
Sorry if I appear to be thick lol, I'm just old that's all. lol.
I very much appreciate your help.
Carl
Ahhhh. Just realised you might mean where the cctv's are . . . that ISP is BT Broadband.

Have you a neighbour or friend, not on sky. From where you can remote log in. This could at least show where problem maybe.
If you download a test file from this site. At what speed does it download at and is speed consistent.
From what limited experience I have, the download and upload only show you have a good line. Not whether there is a problem further on.
I assume you are on Sky LLU.

Please can you clarify which ISP is the CCTV cameras connected to and which ISP are you viewing the cameras from? Please also provide the line stat for both connections and confirm if the cameras are wired or wireless?

We've got most of that .
CCTV cameras are on BT broadband, though we don't know which product, (ADSx or FTTC). He's viewing on a Sky connection that they have moved him to from his Be one, and things were fine while he was on O2.
We have the line stats for the viewing end.
I agree we could do with the BT Product, line stats and wired/wireless. Ahhhhhh. There's a thought. See my next reply to the OP.

Hi Carl ,
Jamie543 just raised a question about the cctv end, as to whether they are connected wired or wireless to the router there. But that made me think ...
... have you changed your router at home from the O2 box to a new Sky router?
