New home including phone line, but!?

I'm moving to a new property soon and I've contacted BT about the move. They are charging me £30 reduced from £130 to have the line turned back on. But that was if I had their BB Infinity package (unlimited).
Does it cost them £130 to turn on the phone line? as it seems as though I'm being taken for a ride with this deal. I don't actually need a fibre connection. Just the phone line.
Any thoughts?

You mean you want a voice line just for voice calls, no broadband at all?

Consider people like Post Office perhaps.

I still want broadband, but I would like to have the choice of who provides it.

Aha well most providers only offer their best deal if you take phone and broadband and entering into most phone only deals would put you in a 12 month contract with that provider.

Providers like Post Office can provision a telephone line.

Ask Plusnet. They are better than BT in many ways anyway . For a Simultaneous (SIM) provide you normally need to get in touch with a PN rep on these forums.
