EE Brightbox router - disable ethernet ports

Hi All,

EE's BrightBox router is cool, but, my son keeps running an Ethernet cable down to it for gaming whilst he's supposed to be revising Wireless is poor in his room, but, the cable does it ! Naff when I'm away.

Any way of disabling the Ethernet ports please.

Quite an unusual request I know.

Does it have a MAC address filter? Then put a timer on his MAC address to only allow access at specific times?

There are 4 Ethernet Ports.

Would that restriction have to be applied to each and every one of them?

Would a "factory reset" or similar remove the restrictions?

Would changing the ADMIN Password provide any real protection?

My impression is that it is "ACCESS CONTROL" on Pages 149 & 150, that would be involved-

I acknowledge that I do not know much about this aspect; but my impression is that the son could still readily access the Router Admin, one way or another, to circumvent such limitations.

Only needed to be done once usually and yes changing admin login would be best to stop him logging in and changing settings
