Changing broadband router

Please can someone help me?

I am currently with EE broadband and have issues with my box not giving me the best connection that my line should be getting. EE have suggested that i can use my old sky hub box as i was getting better output with that box, however when trying to connect to sky box they couldn't find the settings for me to change my broadband username and password to enable me to use it. so back to the EE brightbox now. Does anyone know how i can set up my EE internet with the sky hub router??

You cannot the Sky Hub has no way for inputing the EE username and password.

What are the ADSL line stats from the modem, putting them into http://www.coolwebhome.co.uk/calc will show if line is underperforming.

Is the sky box a netgear one like this . http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/skyDG934.htm
If so you can put DG firmware on it and then you can set it up.

or get a HG612 and unlock it and use that.
