Rubbish Speeds From BT Broadband?

I moved to BT from EE in December and if I am honest 90% of the time EE never dropped below 4mb even at peak times. BT on the other hand, is around 1mb if your lucky at peak times.

That was taken just now, thats actually pretty decent for a Sunday, it will be below 1mb by about 6pm.

What I can't understand is both EE and BT are using the same exchange, its IPStream so same equipment etc yet one is dire, how does this happen?

We've had to give up things like Now TV and iPlayer as they simply don't work.

Anyone any ideas?

Possible EE would have been this bad by now, most providers had a big rise in data use in December and that is impacting older ipstream exchanges with limited bandwidth

Is TalkTalk LLU available or FTTC on the way?

I live beside the main exchange so I assume connected to it.

Fair enough. The BT checker will say if you're on a cabinet or not www.dslchecker.bt.com
If not, you can't upgrade to FTTC.

Not on FTTC. An exchange search on Katz says an LLU company called http://www.newnet.co.uk/ is available, what do they do?

Using the BT Broadband Availability Checker, selecting Address Checker (rather than Postcode Checker) and entering your post code shows that most if not all premises on Ronan Manor have exchange only lines which means that currently they are unable to get FTTC. It is possible that at some stage BT will install a PCP (cabinet) which could then allow FTTC to be installed.
