Superfast Broadband one of charge

So was just reading about the superfast broadband extra fill in projects and calculated that each extra enabled superfast BB line cost £125 (300M/2.4M)


Anyone know the number of active BB lines in the UK?

I was wondering what one off charge we would charge every existing BB line as a one off that would pay for all cabinets to be enabled for superfast broadband.

What do you think the calculation would be?

* Number of existing BB lines in UK = xx
* Number of non enabled bb cabinets in the UK = yy
* Average cost to enable a cabinet = zz

Cost per existing BB line to pay to enable 100% cabinets = zz* yy / xx

Looking for the estimate of actual figures (xx, yy, zz)

23 million fixed broadband connections
28 -30 million premises variation down to businesses
Average cost in range of 20k to 100k. Power is a large variable hence why fttp used sometimes

There is also the cost of network rearrangement and provision of a PCP for EO lines.
