dslchecker changes for migrations

I see the DSL Checker is being updated to reflect the new migration process

In reference to www.dslchecker.bt.com:
Changed:
- they will need to contact them in the first instance to obtain a MAC
- (Migrations Authorisation) Code, and then contact their new Broadband
- supplier to arrange for the service to be migrated.
... into:
+ they will need to contact the Broadband supplier they want to take
+ service from to arrange for the service to be migrated.

With the new system, do MACs still exist? So instead of a user having to get a MAC, the new ISP gets a MAC for them instead? If not what authorization is there for a migration
