Set my router to adsl2 or adsl2+ ?

Hi my ISP is changing my line to adsl2 as 21CN has become available at my exchange.

Should i set my router to adsl2 or adsl2+ (netgear dg834g v4)

Here are my current stats

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7648 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 42.0 db 25.0 db
Noise Margin 6.3 db 24.0 db

Generally best to just leave the router to determine the mode itself. On 42dB attenuation you will gain the most from running in ADSL2+ mode

Are you sure your ISP isn't changing you to ADSL2+? I've never heard of an ISP defaulting to ADSL2.

my email from them says adsl2 maybe them mean adsl2+ , out of interest why would they default to adsl2+ rather than adsl2? , many thanks

Edit: having spoken with the ISP, they said it was a typo, moving to adsl2+

Because ADSL2+ is the "up to 24Mbps" protocol. ADSL2 is 12Mbps.

What download/upload speeds can i expect to get when i get switched ? , many thanks

Estimated range based on existing stats is 6.5 Mbps to 10 Mbps

Unlikely to be slower than what you have now though.
