Anymore info on Long reach vdsl2?

Had a rather interesting read of the long reach vdsl2 article on the thinkbroadband main page and i must say i'm a little exited about my long line future.

Couldn't see anywhere on the post about if these trials will be in certain places or if you'd need to be with a certain provider which i highly doubt but just wondering if that's all the information you guys at thinkbroadband have heard as i'm very interested in learning more now that my exchange and cabinet is now fibre enabled.
