Hi, I would be very grateful if anyone would be able to help me with my problem. I have had no luck on the Talktalk forum or with their customers service.
Last week we switched our Fibre from BT to Talktalk. We've had no connection since. The "Broadband" light just flashes. Phone is fine.
After two engineer visits the issue has not been resolved. I am pretty sure it is an exchange issue but as I am not particularlly knowledgeable about broadband it is difficult for me to pin down what exactly is wrong.
The router is a "combo" router with a built in modem (it is the latest Talktalk "Super Router"). If I look at the router settings I can see that the Operating Mode is set to Auto but it says that it is trying to connect to ADSL.
When the Openreach engineer came he said that the line was syncing fine to his testing equipment and deemed a faulty router to be the issue. But this is not the case. We have had a second router now and the exact same problem persists.
If this is a fibre connection has something been configured wrong here? Should it not say FTTC or something similar? Have they dknr something wrong at the exchange or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Once again I would be so grateful for any response as I am sure all of you here know a lot more than me.
