Because BT buying EE does not decrease the number of mobile providers in the country.

Ofcom don't like the idea of the current 4 networks reducing to 3. BT buying EE did not reduce the number of networks.

Looks like EE will retain control of everything except price - Plusnet revisited. One thing for sure, their dire customer support cannot get any worse.

MVNOs never really seem to pan out like that. If you think about it the only real "big players" are the actual networks themselves.

Your mention of MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) there is a new kid on the street iD Mobile with SIM only revolutionary refreshing prices. I now have one mobile phone with EE and my main mobile phone with iD Mobile on 4G network and one month contract.
