Vtesse networks - Major network upgrade

Morning all!

I've noticed there's loads of these entries on roadworks.org from Vtesse networks, about a major network upgrade.

If this had been a small area I'd have thought it was just a business customer getting a leased line or something, but it's all over the city and to the outskirts.

Anyone any idea who this might be for? I've had a google but can't see who Vtesse might be doing work for.

Someone else posted about it a few months ago. It's basically a dark fibre network from what I can gather. They've ran cabling all the way from North Tyneside college all the way into the city centre.

I believe they've been bought by interoute, a company that does cloud hosting and datacentres - here's their website http://www.interoute.com/

I guess it will do no harm contacting them to find out.

Interesting thanks - I guess this would be usable by anyone who wanted to run FTTP?
