I'm surprised they haven't been done for fraud before now, if that report is even half accurate.

They were driven out of business ... mainly because people did not like the idea of them "snooping". Those are the same people that willingly give Google, Facebook and others much more information and a lot more personal than Phorm may have captured.

Their plan was to replace adverts served by websites with their own, diverting the revenue from websites such as TBB to themselves.
