Wifi to ethernet

Anyone ever used a wireless AC to ethernet adapter?

I am looking for something that picks up the wireless AC signal and then feeds it out to my smart TV over ethernet. The WiFi adapter in my TV is useless, picks up no range where my other devices get -65 RSSI. Powerline adapters do not work well in my home, with drops outs all the time. Short of running an ethernet cable to it, or replacing it, I thought this could work well, but never tried and tested anything.

TV has an ethernet input.

That's just a router or WAP configured in client mode. TP-Link's do that and DD-WRT routers do too.

Any recommendations? I know a few I can get, but the question is more about what has worked well for others?
