Twitter up for sale?

Twitter has held preliminary discussions with Google and Salesforce about a potential deal to buy the messaging platform, according to people briefed on the talks.

The San Francisco-based company � known for its little birdie symbol and its 140-character tweets � has been working for several weeks with Goldman Sachs to explore a sale of the company, valued at nearly $16bn on Friday, according to those people.

That's because Google is trying to compete with Facebook on a social side of things.

I think Twitter took a hit when it started to censor tweets.

I'd have to check my settings but there is an option appeared thats auto selected that hide tweets they don't think you should see, even if your signed up to follow that person.
