Letter from BT today 17th March.
They tell me I am eligible for a free upgrade to BT's basic broadband package, at no extra cost to me.
They say:
There are no up-frant charges for delivery or set.
You just continue paying your line rental and calls as you do now.
You'll carry on paying nothing extra fro broadband even when your 12-Month contract ends.
How very kind of them!!!!
What is the catch.

£9.95/m including line rental and ADSL2+ with 12GB usage allowance for qualifying people.

Usually just the voice side is £5.10 per month, so all depends on whether you believe the paying nothing extra after 12 months, and what you pay now.

There is a 12GB per month usage limit. That is likely fine for browsing the World Wide Web, but easy to exceed if your start streaming TV. You should find out what happens if you exceed the limit.
