I'm due to have a new line installed, I'd like the master socket next to some plugs slightly above the skirting board - nothing unusual. However I don't want any internal wiring running down/along the inside walls from the junction box in the loft that connects to the drop wire. The room in question borders the driveway and I was thinking along the lines of simply running the new line down the exterior wall, then a simple hole through exterior wall, master socket in new room on other side of wall ... no internal wires visible(position would be almost at back of house and not visible/noticeable under normal circumstances).
So will the engineer do this or insist any extension has to be done internally, running from the loft?
