Download Capped?

Had a Problem, which looked like Capacity issue. ISP said errors issue and increased SNR to 12. Same problems persisted so obtained Billion 7800N
Ran perfectly with download SNR of 3 for a week with only same capacity issues.
I now appear to have a fixed IP wjth a minimum SNR of 9.
Is it possible for ISP to make the change.
On ADSL2+.

What was your sync speed after you set, or had, a downstream SNRM of 3dB?

If it was in the region of 12000Kbps you could try forcing ADSL2 with a 3dB SNRM. You may find that the sync speed is reduced by ~1000Kbps and also the error rates may also be reduced, thus enabling a more stable line.

A,though my router is set to Dynamic. Whenever rebooting it is always to same IP.
Tweaking change on Router to reduce SNR. Router will still not go below 9

Reason I asked if ISP could control speed on fixed Address line.

I just use http://192.168.1.254/snr.cgi > type in 50 to set a SNRM of 3dB from a target SNRM of 6dB (or type in 1 for a SNRM of 3.5dB from a target SNRM of 9dB) > apply > save config. These settings will stick after a Billion 7800N reboot. Downstream data rate may change slightly though after a resync on my TTB line.

I'm currently using ADSL2 with a 3dB downstream SNRM due to a few issues with ADSL2+ stability on a 6dB SNRM (attenuation of 34.5dB on ADSL2 and 37.5dB on ADSL2+). However the default 6dB downstream SNRM profile has not been changed by my ISP.
