Hello,
I have Virgin Media home braodband thats high speed. All worked fine but i noticed there was one site i couldnt load some images on. Then i noticed another and also we are having issues authenticating to icloud.
I have numerous Apple devices, eg imac, macbook, iphone etc and all are the same.
If i use my 4G iphone as the as internet connection then i can authenticate to icloud and load the images.
I've restarted the router etc, changed my DNS on local machine to use 8.8.8.8, fluched cache but still the same.
Looking for ways to trouble shoot please
Thanks!

ok, it could have been that the router had an incorrect time/date, and supplying that to all the devices
at least one variable out the way

Your link (http://bloomweddings.co.uk/fractal-prisms-review/) works fine here on an iMac using FTTC... I have numerous Apple devices, eg imac, macbook, iphone etc and all are the same. Makes it sound like a router issue... If i use my 4G iphone as the as internet connection then i can authenticate to icloud and load the images. And that would support the idea.
Can you take the router out of the equation by connecting direct to a modem with (say) the iMac?
Note- I know nothing about Virgin Media, so have no idea how you would set up the connection to login to Virgin.

Most of us have modems, for our ADSL and VDSL services.

I have a modem but I dont have virgin

If you're using any form of xDSL then you've got a modem. Telephone lines don't speak Ethernet.
It may be combined with the router in a single box rather than be a separate item but it's there.

So i think i dound the issue but not yet the resolve!
The images its trying to load have an HTTPS source eg
https://i1.wp.com/bloomweddings.co.uk/wp-content/upl...
Chrome gives me the following message: 'This server could not prove that it is i1.wp.com; its security certificate is from contentcontrol.vodafone.co.uk. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.'
All browsers load the image when i add the security exception in and then the main page also then loads the images as it should.
So i need to find out if vodafone is at fault or if the sites are using one of these 'free' HTTPS certificates that people are using to move their site to HTTPS to please Google.

Think ive sorted it by using the OpenDNS DNS servers on the vodafone router.
