Odd Speed Check

Hi All

We are looking at renting a place in RH80SE (3 Pilgrims Farm Cottage) and checking with BT and most other providers they say you can get around 2Mb. Then we checked 4 Pilgrims Farm Cottage and that says 80Mp - Both 3 and 4 are next to each other (semis). Called BT and they didn't have a clue - Any ideas good people

A wild guess no more. Does 3 have a phone line? It's possible that 4 has a line and the speed reflects what they are able to get whereas 3's estimated speeds are just that an estimate and based on possibly incorrect data. Or the reverse and it is 4 that is incorrect.

Have you had a chance of speaking to the occupants of 4 and asking them what sort of speeds they are seeing?

So checker is wrong, will fire off a correction email.

We reckon less than 2 Meg on our system.

And the magic worked property 4 is showing what you'd expect at this distance, in this case so slow no VDSL2, which is to be expected.
