A client of mine has a slightly complicated situation:
- they have two houses (they built a new house in the grounds of the original house)
- in the old house they have a line paying rental to BT with no ADSL service at all.
- in the new house they have a line paying rental to BT with an ADSL service from IDNet.
They are moving from the old house into the new house and have decided that they would like to transfer the number from the line in the old house to the line in the new house. They would then cancel the line in the old house.
I am concerned that doing so will interrupt the ADSL service on the line in the new house somehow.
BT are washing their hands of it and have simply said speak to IDNet. IDNet seem confused and are getting someone to ring my client back.
Has anyone else ever changed the number on a line with ADSL provisioned on it and did the ADSL service remain uninterrupted?
