VM FTTP?

Does VM do true FTTP ever? (ie zero DOCSIS in the path)

No. They offer the same DOCSIS modem as the HFC installs. The only difference is they use a fibre to coax converter (RFoG ).

I think if you trawl the news on here a while back, they have an FTTP trial somewhere in the country.

As mentioned it still uses DOCSIS hardware, i.e. fibre onto the outside wall of the property but a small RFOG converter that converts signal in bit of glass to signal in a very short run of coax

Strictly speaking then, the fibre reaches the premesis, so it is FTTP...

I mean, I bet many fttp isps use media converters (I know Hyperoptic do in some buildings) and I bet none of them offer to replace your home ethernet wiring with Fibre...

FTTH is Fibre to the Premises

Premises is agnostic on whether its a business or residential premises

I would have thought it�s just so their existing hardware can plug straight into the coax cable.
